Top 20 Public Intellectuals
Foreign Policy magazine has published their list of the world’s top 20 (living) public intellectuals. They published a list of 100 and asked for people to vote who to include in the top 20. They also allowed people to write-in anyone who was not on the list. Over a half million people voted and the results can be seen here. It includes Mumammad Yunus, Al Gore, Noam Chomsky, Umberto Eco, Gary Kasparov, Richard Dawkins and others. But my favorite is the top write-in candidate they have listed after the top 20.
