Team Event
I arrived at a office a few hours after landing – just in time to head off for the team event. We spent the day at the Botanix Garden in Sohna for our team event. There were a few organized events – playing cricket (we won!), hot air ballooning, para-gliding, archery and other fun and games between lunch and dinner. We had team members, and former team members, fly in to Delhi from our Atlanta and Bangalore offices. We had a blast. This was my first time playing cricket. I batted for one over and made 4 runs. I also bowled one over and got one wicket. I was pretty excited. In the end my team also won. We ended the day with dinner. Afterwards, closer to midnight, some friends came over to the hotel and we grabbed a quick bite to eat at the Great Kabab Factory. The kebabs were fantastic – almost melted in your mouth. I cannot remember having kebabs this good at a restaurant before, although I am expecting dinner at Karim’s to out do even this. Unfortunately, the day ended tragically – our team was coming back on the highway in cabs in groups of 2 or 3. One of the cabs met with a head-on collision with a truck.
