Eventful Day

Yesterday was a fun day in the office. A.M. took me out to lunch at Haldiram’s – lots of snacks to choose from. We had gol gappa and halwa, sabji and puri. It was really tasty. We topped it off with sweet lassi. I continued to drool over all the other food they had that I was too full to try, particularly the rajkachori looked really good. I will have to go back there.

Later in the afternoon, the office organized a baloon bursting and tug of war event. Our team did very well in both, but was kept short of winning in both cases. But the sheer energy of the people, and the number (about 500), was something to see.

I was taken to dinner by a friend at the Red Coral, a Thai/Chinese restaurant in Delhi. The decor was very interesting – mango wood furniture, low tables and chairs, ceiling covered with bells. When we came in, the place was almost empty, but around 9:30 PM it was full. This was my first foray into the city from Gurgaon. And the food was fantastic – we topped it off with lychees with lychee icecream.
